Blog 1: Veronica's Cultural Studies
Hello, my name is Veronica Trillo-Garcia. I am taking this course because it is a requirement to transition to a University. I'm very excited about the course and really hope to gain better knowledge of other cultures. I work in real estate and often times work with many different people from an array of cultures so it would really be interesting to find out more about them and how and why they make the kinds of desions they make and most importantly to understand and have patience when working with them. I also want to travel to other countries so learning about their cultures is very important not to mention respectfull.

Hi, Veronica! I'm so glad you went to the African Headwear exhibition. I loved seeing those objects not only for their sculptural beauty and cultural importance, but also for their amazing craftsmanship. Thanks for providing all of those links for us to follow. I'm glad that you mentioned respect as an important reason to learn about other cultures.

ReplyDeleteDefinetly working in real estate brings in people of many cultures and backgrounds. You can use your day to day encounters with peolpe in this course. When oe visits another country the outside where they came from the natives always ask, What brings you to my country? and What do you want to see?
